Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation
Empowering the Future of Kerrville Through Education & Opportunity
The Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is the charitable arm of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to fostering educational and economic opportunity in the Hill Country. Through strategic community support and generous contributions from our members and partners, the Foundation is proud to invest in the future workforce and leaders of our region.
One of the Foundation’s core missions is to support local students in their educational and career development through two key scholarship programs:
KACOC Scholarship Program
Our KACOC Scholarship Program is designed to recognize and support outstanding high school seniors pursuing higher education at a college or university. This program is aimed at helping academically driven students who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to personal growth.
Eligibility:
Graduating high school seniors from the Kerrville area (Kerr County)
Planning to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university
Demonstrated academic achievement and community service
Award Amount: Varies annually based on available funds
This scholarship helps remove financial barriers for students who aspire to further their education and become future leaders in our community.
KACOC Vocational Scholarship
The KACOC Vocational Scholarship supports students who are pursuing career and technical education (CTE) programs at trade schools, community colleges, or vocational training institutions. This program reflects the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening the local workforce and supporting non-traditional paths to success.
Eligibility:
Residents or students in the Kerrville area (Kerr County)
Enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited trade or vocational program (e.g., welding, cosmetology, plumbing, automotive, culinary arts, etc.)
Demonstrated dedication to entering a skilled trade profession
Award Amount: Varies based on program and need
This scholarship directly supports students seeking hands-on careers that are vital to the growth and prosperity of our region.
How to Apply
Applications for both scholarships open annually in early spring. Specific deadlines, application instructions, and required materials are announced on our website and through local high schools and partners.
